Installation of Tankless Water Heaters

- Choosing the Right Size: The size of the tankless water heater will be selected based on your household’s hot water demand. We will help determine the appropriate size based on your requirements
- Preparing the Installation Site: The installation site should be well-ventilated and have access to a gas or electric supply, as well as a water supply and drain.
- Gas or Electric Connection:
- Gas: PPX plumbers will connect the gas supply line to the water heater, ensuring proper ventilation.
- Electric: We will connect the electrical supply to the water heater.
- Water Supply and Drain Connection: PPX plumber will connect the cold water supply line to the water heater’s inlet and the hot water outlet to the plumbing system. A drain line will also be connected to remove any excess water or condensation.
- Ventilation: Adequate ventilation is crucial for gas-powered tankless water heaters. Our plumber will install a vent pipe to exhaust combustion gases safely.
- Testing and Commissioning: After installation, we will test the water heater to ensure it’s functioning correctly and adjust the settings as needed.


Repairing Tankless Water Heaters

Installation of Tanked Water Heaters
Proper installation of a tanked water heater is crucial for its efficient and safe operation. We utilize PPX utilizes the following installation process:

- The Right Location: The water heater should be installed in a well-ventilated area, typically utility closet or garage. Ensure it’s positioned near a cold water supply line and a drain for easy maintenance.
- Adequate Space: PPX will clear the area around the installation site to provide enough room for maneuvering the water heater and connecting the pipes.
- Connect the Water Supply: PPX attaches the cold water supply line to the inlet valve on the water heater and will secure the connection with pipe clamps or fittings.
- Connect the Drain Pipe: PPX will install a drain pipe to carry away excess water, such as during a pressure relief valve activation or draining the tank for maintenance.
- Connect the Gas or Electric Supply:
- Gas Water Heaters: Connect the gas supply line to the water heater’s gas valve, ensuring a tight seal.
- Electric Water Heaters: Connect the electrical supply wires to the appropriate terminals on the water heater, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Secure the Water Heater: Our plumbers will anchor the water heater to the wall studs using brackets to prevent tipping or movement.
- Insulate the Tank: We insulate the tank to minimize heat loss and improve energy efficiency.
